Counselling / Psychotherapy

Counselling and psychotherapy provide a confidential space to explore emotions, relationships, and life challenges. These services are delivered by regulated mental health professionals and are designed to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or family stress. The focus is on healing, self-understanding, and developing effective coping strategies.

Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Andrew has always been drawn to exploring and expressing the complexities of the human experience. Before entering the world of psychotherapy, he spent many years as a professional actor across Western Canada, deepening his understanding of emotion, connection, and the human condition.

After returning to Thunder Bay, Andrew earned his Master of Social Work from Lakehead University and has spent the past seven years supporting individuals, couples, and groups as a psychotherapist. While his original goal was to create safe spaces for men to explore their mental health, Andrew now works with teens and adults of all genders. He is passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges, whether rooted in trauma, addiction, or relationship stress.

Andrew’s approach is grounded, compassionate, and collaborative. He draws from a wide range of modalities to meet each client where they are, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness practices, Polyvagal Theory, and Psychodrama.

Andrew brings a calm presence, a deep respect for personal stories, and a commitment to helping clients move toward healing, insight, and authentic connection.

I’m a registered social worker with a Master’s in Social Work and over a decade of experience supporting individuals, youth, and families through life’s challenges. I co-founded Superior Therapy and Wellness because I believe in creating a space where people feel safe, respected, and truly heard.

In session, I bring a down-to-earth, compassionate approach. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, parenting, or just feeling stuck—I’ll meet you where you are with curiosity and care. Therapy with me is a collaborative space where your voice matters, and together we can work toward the changes that feel meaningful to you.

Outside the therapy room, I’m a mom, a nature lover, and someone who values connection, laughter, and lifelong learning. I know how hard it can be to take that first step, and I’m here to walk alongside you.

If you’re ready to begin—or begin again—I’d be honoured to support you.
